Summer Office Assistant
Description
The primary role of the Residence Life and Housing Summer Office
Assistant is to assist the Office of Residence Life and Housing in
providing a variety of administrative and support staff roles (i.e.,
customer service, giving information and working on special projects).
The Summer Office Assistant should have a genuine interest in working
with all facets of the Central Office.
Qualifications 
- Enrolled as a WFU student during the academic year; may be enrolled
in summer session(s).
- Personal qualities that indicate a high potential for success
in the position.
- In good standing with the University and Residence
Life and Housing (i.e. no disciplinary sanctions currently in
effect).
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at time of assistantship.
Terms of Employment 
- Summer office assistants may reside in a residence hall room
assigned by Residence Life and Housing. If a staff
member leaves the position, s/he must move out of the room and
will be required to move off campus, if not enrolled in Summer
School.
- Summer office assistants may enroll in summer courses each summer
session.
- Payroll is on a monthly basis for undergraduates and bi-weekly
for graduates. Hours are entered on-line through the University's,
electronic submission system.
- Summer office assistants report directly to the office manager
in Residence Life and Housing.
Responsibilities 
- Perform a variety of office related tasks such as typing correspondence,
filing, answering phone calls, and assisting with the overall
operation of the office.
- Work on special tasks and projects throughout the summer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by staff in Residence
Life and Housing.

To apply as a Summer Office Assistant, select the summer assistantship application, containing the application
and recommendation forms. Each document must be completed in its entirety
and returned to Residence Life and Housing located in
Benson University Center, Room 101.
Return completed applications to Benson University Center, Room
101, by the published deadline found in the "What's New"
Section.
