The teachings of Confucius have become the basis of Chinese civilization and have influenced art and literature.  The passage from the Han-Shu, the Relief from the Wu Family Shrine, and the "Portraits of Four Scholars" all exhibit the structure and order defined by Confucius' Analects and the 5 Constant Relationships.  In this respect, I have attempted to demonstrate the inseparable nature of art and literature.

For centuries, frequently repeated kernels of Chinese wisdom have allowed people to gain an understanding about themselves and the society in which they live.  My hope is that this site will spark a reader's interest in learning more about Confucius and his work and will apply his teachings to one's own life.
