This exhibit and museum were created during an introductory seminar on the Asia-Pacific War, taught at Wake Forest University during the spring semester 2002.

During operations, the Japanese soldier carried all of the supplies that he and his battalion needed with him, on his back. This included his ammunition and hand grenades, rifle and bayonet, entrenching tools, a coat, two blankets, food utensils, extra socks and underwear, as well as a few miscellaneous items. On top of this he carried 10 kg of rice and drinking water.

The following are images of the various items.

This exhibit was researched and designed by [Robert Wood Finley].
