Areas of interest in Health and Exercise Science:
David is interested in skill development and analysis of motion in the areas of golf and volleyball. Golf is an excellent example of an activity with considerable potential to be the trigger which leads to regular exercise habits. The fascination with the game of golf, and its many challenges, becomes the motivation for many older adults to remain active – continuing to strive for swing improvement and corresponding game improvement, regardless of age.
An additional golf program offered to Wake Forest University students:
David coordinates a program entitled Golf: For Business and Life. This program, offered to juniors and seniors, provides golf lessons from teaching professionals and instruction on strategies involved in learning how golf can be used successfully as a business tool. The program is funded by the Professional Golf Association and taught by members of the PGA.
