Joanne Gonwa is working with Dr. Patricia Nixon as a Program Coordinator on the PEPC study examining the effects of antenatal steroids on blood pressure in adolescents who were born prematurely with very low birth weight.
Joanne is a registered nurse with certification in pediatric nursing. She will complete her Masters of Public Health Leadership degree in May 2010. Joanne’s interests include the health promoting effects of an active lifestyle in children and adolescents and in the development of healthy role models for children and young adults within our communities.
