The Higher Education Center
This link contains strategies for reducing alcohol and other drug use on college campuses. There are publications that include fact sheets, articles, newsletters and guides. This link has abstracts of articles containing recommendations for college faculty and administration about prevention, which is very informative for creating a better system for alcohol and drug prevention on college campuses. The Higher Education Center link has ideas and suggestions on planning alcohol risk and prevention programs.

College Alcohol Study
This site links to the Harvard School of Public Health's College Alcohol Study (CAS), an ongoing survey of over 15,000 students at 140 four-year colleges in forty states. The CAS examines a variety of high risk behaviors among college students in connection with their drinking patterns.

The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information
This link would be good for students to use for alcohol research projects. It contains information about alcohol in the form of research briefs and statistics. This link has connections to relating web sites: publications and resources for relating topics such as addiction; urine drug testing; and treatment organizations. This site also has an up-to-date connection that has current information about alcohol and  has connections to information about grants, news release, media services, statistics, and on-line forums 

DrugHelp
This web page is very informative if you are concerned about a friend or family member and his/her drinking. This page has links to information about signs and symptoms that you should look for. It also includes suggestions for helping the people you might have concerns for and ideas for intervention for children, parents, and friends. This site could be beneficial for anyone of any age.

This web site relates to college students and alcohol. This link provides information on topics such as alcohol and your body, alcohol and sex, and coping tips for those who grew up in a home with substance abuse. Also included are quizzes and statistics.

National Institute on Drug Abuse
NIDA's home page provides a wealth of information on drugs of abuse. It also includes timely publications, international activities, and links to related web sites.
