Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:
As part of our continuing efforts to communicate the latest news and efforts regarding the H1N1 flu virus, Wake Forest continues to update the H1N1 website at http://www.wfu.edu/h1n1flu/.
The University has received approximately 600 nasal mist doses of the H1N1 vaccine. It is anticipated that the University will receive additional shipments of the nasal mist and injectable forms of the vaccine in the coming weeks. Please visit the Wake Forest H1N1 site for continued updates on the shipments and availability of nasal mist and injectable vaccinations.
To distribute the vaccine, the University will hold clinics for members of the Reynolda Campus community who meet eligibility requirements for the nasal mist. Current Faculty, Staff and Students who are age 49 and under, are not pregnant, and do not have underlying medical conditions (i.e. asthma or diabetes) are eligible for the vaccine. Additional details regarding eligibility can be found here. At this time, we are not able to offer the vaccine to spouses or children of faculty and staff or to retired faculty.
Flu Clinic Details:
All of those wishing to receive the vaccine must bring their University-issued identification card. Faculty and staff do not have to be a participant in the Blue Cross Blue Shield plan to receive the vaccine. They also are not required to bring their insurance cards. Registration is available through the Professional Development Center (PDC). To register, please go to http://pdc.wfu.edu/course/p5774CJyG1. It is strongly encouraged that all interested faculty, staff and students register, as there will be very limited ability to accommodate walk-ins.
If you have any additional questions or need information or assistance, faculty and staff please contact or 758-4700, and students please contact Residence Life and Housing at or 758-5185.
