The German and Russian department offers several internships and has plans to offer more business oriented opportunities for Russian and German in the near future. For German students we now offer internship possibilities in Graz, Austria, at local High Schools, and locally in Forsyth County with the U.S. based German company Leistritz.

• Local Teaching Opportunities
  • Every year there is a need for teaching assistants at local schools for German teachers. If you want real classroom experience teaching German, or if you just want to find an avenue to employ your German and to even improve it, this is a great opportunity.

• Leistritz (coming soon)
  • If you are a rising senior with excellent German skills, this might be a worthwhile challenge. Gain hands-on experience in a real German company right here in Forsyth county. Leistritz manufactures turbines and needs college students to help them translate documents and completing other administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity for those German students who are also majoring in Business and who have completed Dr. Wigger's Business German courses (329 and 330) and who plan to take the Goethe Institut test Deutsch für den Beruf.
