10. Great study abroad options:
9. Study-Abroad scholarships. We offer several yearly scholarships to help fund these trips. In addition, the office of International Studies offers funding to many of our students.
8. Engaging and attentive professors who are extremely committed to offering students individual attention and guidance.
7. A wide range of exciting courses, including literature, film, business German, and German studies courses.
6. Small classes: our average class size is about ten students.
5. Great academic opportunities: our German majors often double-major, with their other major in fields such as business, economics, psychology, and political science.
4. Exciting post-graduate opportunities! Our graduates regularly receive prestigious study-abroad grants. Our majors have a strong track record of receiving Fulbright grants to teach or study in Germany and Austria. One of our majors recently received a Rhodes scholarship.
3. Fun social activities. We offer activities such as a Kaffeestunde social hour, German film screenings, and a yearly Oktoberfest.
2. A wide variety of career opportunities: our graduates attend law school, graduate school in German or in another field, and work or study in a German-speaking country.
1. We throw great parties! And look – we all fit into one truck!
