The German Colloquium Series is an event sponsored, organized, and arranged by the German Department. Its purpose is to encourage scholarly discussion about German & Austrian culture, to give students an opportunity to learn about the research our faculty are pursuing, and to advertise to the Wake Forest community the scholarly work our department actively contributes to academia. There are typically two colloquia per semester featuring either a Wake Forest German faculty member or a visiting professor or author. The talks last approximately thirty minutes and are followed by a casual reception.
Upcoming Colloquia:
February 6: Professor Wiggers discusses Neue Deutsche Welle
4:00 PM in Greene 239
April 22: Professor Howards will present a lecture on Trading Cards of the late 19th century and German nationalism.
4:00 PM in Tribble B 316
