Tina Boyer
Assistant Professor

Greene, 337
Email:boyertm@wfu.edu
Phone: 336-758-5361

Tina Boyer received her Ph.D. in 2010 from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in German medieval literature and a designated emphasis in Second Language Acquisition.

Her primary research focuses on medieval German literature. She is particularly interested in depictions of monstrous identities in Middle High German epics and romances. Another passion is to link these medieval representations with modern pop culture.

Combining her research interest in SLA with classroom instruction, she is focusing on implementing technological resources to facilitate language acquisition.

Other research interests include historical linguistics, translation of German immigrant documents, and German folklore and fairy tales.

She enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano rather badly, and writing about herself in the third person.
