
The AIMS Graz Summer German Intern will work closely with the administrators of the Summer Vocal Institute in Graz, Austria.
Duties and hours are varied. The German Intern is responsible to assist the administrators with any and all tasks that require a knowledge of German. Interns will do odd jobs requiring knowledge of German for the Directors of the program:
shopping for supplies, interacting with native speakers at concert venues, running local errands, accompanying them on emergency errands of medical or other nature
They may also be asked to assist other AIMS participants who may have a need for someone with German skills. The intern will primarily be called upon to use spoken German.
Applications for this position due to the chair of German and Russian by the Monday following Thanksgiving holiday. Interns are eligible to apply for Sanders Scholarship monies to assist with the flight overseas. The internship is unpaid, but interns will receive room and partial board (breakfast daily, hot lunch M-F) for the duration of their stay. Tickets to all AIMS concerts and events are part of the compensation.
