Penelope W. and E. Roe Stamps IV
Leadership Scholar Awards
Penelope W. and E. Roe Stamps IV Leadership Scholars must exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. They will have achieved unusual distinction in the classroom and beyond. Successful applicants have pursued the most challenging curriculum available to them and have achieved grade point averages and SAT scores that place them in the top few percentage points in comparison to their peers (often in the top 1 percent of their class, with SAT-1 scores above 1500). Further, Stamps Scholars have typically been leaders in a variety of extracurricular pursuits and won recognition for their interests at the regional, state, or national level.
Made possible through the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation beginning in 2013, this scholarship annually covers the costs of tuition, fees, room and board, and includes an $1500 allowance for books and personal expenses. Scholars may receive up to $15,000 total over their four undergraduate years for approved travel or study projects.”
Finalists are invited to campus for interviews and are notified by the end of March.
