North Carolina Need-Based Scholarship Program
Beginning in 2012-13, there is a new need-based state scholarship program. Individual grant amounts vary according to the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of students who complete the FAFSA. Students who are legal residents of North Carolina with EFC's of $15,000 or less, who meet the eligibility criteria of the Federal Pell Grant Program, are eligible.
2011-12 was the final year that private colleges and universities in North Carolina received
$1,140 per full-time North Carolina student, to be awarded individually
to students with need as North Carolina State Contractual Scholarships. |
