Q. Where do I receive funding for my student organization?
A. Funding of less than $500 can be obtained from the Appropriations and Charter Committee of Student Government. If a group is requesting more than $500, the group should contact the Student Government Treasurer / Student Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) at x4897. Q. Can any campus group have an account with Financial & Accounting Services?
A. No, only chartered organizations receiving funding from Student Government / Student Budget Advisory Committee may obtain an account.

Q. What does my account number mean?
A. An account number consists of 12 digits in the form XXXXX-1209XXX. The 1209XXX is specific to your organization and is assigned by Financial Reporting in Reynolda 102. The first five digits vary depending on the type of expense. Click here to download a list of commonly used expense account numbers. You must list all 12 digits on all documents turned into Financial & Accounting Services or it may be returned.

Q. How often do I get a report stating what has been charged to my account?
A. Reports are distributed to the faculty advisor by the 5th of each month through PeopleSoft nVision. The president and other members of the organization may access the reports with proper approval. Send a written request to reporting@lists.wfu.edu to obtain access.

Q. How do I get bills or invoices paid? How do I get reimbursed for expenses?

Q. When can I spend my money?
A. The University's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Funds from the Student Budget Advisory Committee are made available each July 1st. Funds granted from the Appropriations and Charter Committee of Student Government are available shortly after they are approved by the Legislature.
