Return Check Policy

Returned Check Payments

Student Financial Services will mail a letter to the home address of the student to notify them of the return and ways to resolve it.

Rejected DEAC (Deacon Electronic Account Center) E-check Payments
An email will be sent to payee’s email address and to the student’s primary & secondary email address notifying them of the return. If an authorized payer makes the payment, an email is sent to their primary & secondary email address.

Please be advised that all payments that are paid through the DEAC system and returned by the bank will be assessed a $25 fee.

If an account indicates a history of returned checks, the University may require future payments by cash, money order or certified check.
