Not only does it serve as the keycard to enter University buildings, it is also used in the University's cashless payment system. Money placed on the card may be used at a variety of locations on campus, including food vendors, the College Book Store, the Deacon Shop, Student Health Services, the Library, Student Union and Student Financial Services. The Dining Membership Plan (Meal Plan) is a separate account also accessible via the Deacon OneCard. For more information regarding Dining Memberships, please visit the Residence Life and Housing website covering the Campus Dining Membership Plans. The Deacon OneCard is not an acceptable payment method for tuition, housing and meal plan charges. You may add money to your Deacon OneCard account at any time by contacting Aramark Dining Services at (336) 758-5607 or (800) 528-5778, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm EST. Aramark Dining Services is located on the first floor beside the Reynolda Hall Dining Facility. For meal plan information or how to add money to your Deacon OneCard, please click here. At the end of the student’s tenure at the University, any outstanding fees will be deducted from the unused funds on the Deacon OneCard and the balance refunded. Vending StripeThe Deacon OneCard also has a vending stripe that can be used for campus vending and copy machines. Funds can be placed on the Vending Stripe at the Deacon OneCard Office, the Z. Smith Reynolds Library, or the College Bookstore. Funds can not be recovered if the card is lost, stolen, or damaged. Therefore, a maximum of $10 is recommended.
