Wake Forest University is improving its financial services by moving to an electronic billing system that features an improved, easier-to-read billing statement. As of January 1, 2010, the University will issue all student account statements through an “e-bill” and will no longer produce and mail paper bills.

DEAC, the Deacon Electronic Account Center, will allow students and authorized payers to:

  • View student account activity in real-time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • View, pay and print bills. Bills are paid by e-check through a secure ACH (Authorized Clearinghouse).
  • Add money to the Deacon OneCard.

IMPORTANT: Students must set up electronic accounts and authorize third-party payers before December 30, 2009. Due to the Family Educational Right of Privacy Act (FERPA), the student must be the one to set up the account and grant authorized access.

To set up your electronic account:

  1. Log in to WIN and go to the personal tab.
  2. Click on the DEAC link under Online Bills.
  3. Click on Authorized Payers. If a parent or other third party pays your bills on your behalf, you need to authorize that person as a payer. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.  For each person, enter his/her name and create a unique login name and password. It is your responsibility to communicate the login information to your authorized payers and direct them to www.wfu.edu/deac to login and set up their User Preferences.
  4. Click on Payment Profile to enter payment information.  This is optional, but it will save you from re-entering Deacon OneCard or banking information each time you make a payment. If an Authorized Payer will pay your bills, he/she can enter payment information under his/her Payment Profile.
  5. Click on User Preferences. You may add a secondary email for e-bill notifications. If you set up an Authorized Payer, do not set that person up as the secondary email address. Authorized Payers should set up their own User Preferences under their login.
  6. Your account is now set up.
Note: If you have more than one student at WFU, you will need to set up a different user name for each student.

How to Access DEAC Once You Have Set Up Your Account

Parents and Authorized Users
Once students have enabled your access, click here or use the Parent login in the left sidebar. Parents may also access DEAC from the Parent page on the Wake Forest web site by clicking the DEAC (Manage Accounts) link.

Guest Payers
Guest payers have the ability to pay toward a student's account but do not have access to view any account details. Students will need to share his/her student ID with you in order for you to make a payment to his/her account.

Enter the 8 digit student ID below to access the guest payer site:

Students will be issued a final paper billing statement on December 1. This bill will include information about the transition and the new bill format. Students will also be reminded through various campus communication methods to set up their accounts before the December 30, 2009 deadline.
