Computer Requirements
Students entering the Documentary Film Program are required to purchase a Macintosh laptop computer for their coursework.
Minimum Hardware Requirements:
- 2 GHz or faster Intel processor
- Minimum 2GB of memory (4GB is optimal)
- 128MB of VRAM
- ATI or NVIDIA graphics processor (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
- A display with 1280 x 800 resolution or higher
- 250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm (will run with 5400 rpm but not as efficiently)
- Minimum 500 GB FW drive (7200 rpm)
Software Requirements:
- Mac OS X v 10.5 or later
- Final Cut Studio 2.0 or later
- Microsoft Office 2008 or later
- Bento, v. 2.0 or later
- Adobe Photoshop CS 4 (recommended)
