A Village Called Versailles screening: January 18
The documentary A Village Called Versailles will be shown Tuesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. in Carswell Hallís Annenberg Forum.
This is the story of members of a Vietnamese American community on the edge of New Orleans who fight the opening of a toxic government-imposed landfill near their homes.
A discussion will follow the screening, which is part of the Independent Lens Community Cinema program in conjunction with the MLK Day of Service. This event is sponsored by the HandsOn Northwest North Carolina, the WFU Volunteer Service Corps, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Documentary Film Program.
