Upon Graduation:

Graduates of the Wake Forest Department of Counseling meet the educational requirements for licensure in North Carolina and in most other states. Since the Program is CACREP approved, graduates can become National Certified Counselors upon passage of the NCE (National Counselor Exam) with no additional counseling experience required. The graduates of the School Counseling Program qualify for licensure as school counselors by the N.C. Public Schools and by most other sites through reciprocity agreements. The School Counseling Program is approved by the National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and by the N.C. State Board of Education.
