Randall Rogan, Professor, Associate Provost

Research Interests: forensic discourse analysis of crisis negotiations, author identification and threat assessment, focusing on the affective and cultural features of verbal and written communication. Dr. Rogan has worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Critical Incident Response Group - Crisis Management Unit, as hostage negotiation advisor to the Winston-Salem, Police Department, and as a member of the Behavioral Health Division of Winston-Salem Forsyth County Special Operation Response Team. Of particular note, he was a member of the team of analysts that helped identify the Unabomber.
