Courses Taught:  Introduction to Film; Film Theory and Criticism; Screenwriting, Film History to 1945; Film History 1945 to Present; Special Topics, including Culture and the Sitcom, Gender and Hitchcock, and The Films of Charlie Chaplin; First Year Seminar:  Film and Public Culture.
Research Interests: critical media studies with  particular emphases on Hollywood cinema, sitcoms, and the depiction of teachers in popular culture.
Creative Interests: documentary filmmaking and screenwriting.
