Comprehensive survey on liberal arts

Here are the results of a comprehensive survey on the liberal arts conducted this past fall under the auspices of Wake Forest University. The web-based survey, which elicited responses from eighty-nine provosts and deans at colleges and universities across the country, reveals a range of opinions and comments on the current state and future of the liberal arts and identifies trends in employment, the economy, technology, internationalism, and other areas that are affecting their place in the curriculum, positively and negatively.
