1. I want to leave school.  What do I do?
Make an appointment with an associate dean immediately in the Dean of the College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall.  The dean will explain the process.

2. I want a dean's excuse to be out of class. How do I get one?
The Dean's Office does not give out dean's excuses. All professors are aware of WFU sponsored events. If there is another reason, contact the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5311.

3. Where can I get a student handbook?
Student Government Office, Room 304 Benson University Center.

4. Who did the art work hanging in the Dean of College office?
It is all WFU student art. See Professor David Faber in the Art Department, 4 Scales Fine Arts Center, x5302.

5. Where do I obtain information on Commencement?

6. Where do I get information on Family Weekend (Parents Weekend)?

7. Where do I get information on pre-orientation Programs?

8. Where do I get information on Convocation?

9. Where do I get information on the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc.?
Booklets are available outside the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall. For additional information, contact Deane Pleasants, test administrator, at 765-1467.

10. What do I do if I discover that my name is not on the roll for a class which I have been attending since the beginning of the semester?
Come to 104 Reynolda, explain the situation, and obtain a late add request slip. Take this slip to your adviser and instructor for signatures. Return with the slip to 104 Reynolda and ask to see Karen Bennett. If adding the course would put you over 20 credits, you will need to get an appointment with one of the associate deans.

11. What do I do if I find that I am enrolled for a course which I never attended?
Come to 104 Reynolda, explain the situation, and obtain a late drop request form. Take this form to your adviser and instructor, asking each of them to explain, in the lines provided on the form, that you indeed were never attending and that you indeed weren't supposed to be in the course. Return with the form to see Mrs. Karen Bennett in 104 Reynolda.

12. How can I change the mode of a class after the add period?
The deadline for switching from pass-fail to grade or from grade to pass-fail falls at the end of the add period, exactly two weeks after the first day of class. The only changes that have ever been allowed after this period have been corrections of clerical mistakes. For further explanation, make an appointment to see a dean in the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5311.

13. How do I schedule an appointment with Deborah Best, Dean of the College?

14. How do I apply to be a visiting student?
Contact the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5311.

15. How can I be re-admitted to the college?
Contact Bonnie Jones, Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5313. If she is not available, or there was anything unusual about your departure, you should make an appointment to see an associate dean by calling x5311 or visiting 104 Reynolda Hall.

16. How do I enroll as an unclassified student?

17. If I am a Salem Student, where do I obtain information from WFU?

18. How do I study abroad?
First go to the International Studies Office, Room 27 Carswell Hall. That office will tell you when the next group session for study abroad is being held. Be sure to attend it. Then return to 27 Carswell and have an individual appointment with Ms. Hatchett or Mrs. Metcalf, where you will obtain the necessary paperwork. Get required signatures in order. Make an appointment with a dean in the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall.

19. What do I do if I have too many credits in my major?
Make an appointment to meet with Dean Toby Hale by contacting the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5311.

20. Who do I see about Advanced Placement scores?
Contact Karen Bennett in the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5647.

21. What do I do if I need my SAT or ACT scores?
Come to the Dean of College Office, Room 104 Reynolda Hall and present picture identification.

22. What are the Dean of College office hours?
Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00. We do not close for lunch. We take our first appointment at 9:00 and our last appointment at 4:30.

23. How do I make an appointment with Dean Harold Holmes?
Dean Holmes is located in the Dean of Students Office, 311 Benson University Center, x5226.

24. What do I do if I have a hold on my transcript?
First find out which office placed the hold. If it is Dean of College, see Bonnie Jones, Room 104 Reynolda Hall, x5313.

25. When does the Committee on Academic Affairs meet?
The CAA meets every first and third Thursday of each month, normally 3:00-5:00 in Room 204 Reynolda Hall. See Bonnie Jones in the Dean of College Office, 104 Reynolda Hall, x5313, for more information.
