Associate Dean Patterson came to Wake Forest in 1986, after receiving his B.A. (Indiana) and his M.A. and Ph.D. (Northwestern) degrees. At Wake Forest, he has taught Economics and Russian, and has served on the Core Faculty of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program. Dean Patterson joined the Dean’s Office in 2009 as Associate Dean for Academic Advising, and leads the Office of Academic Advising. He assists the Committee on Orientation and Lower Division Advising, and welcomes new students and their families at Orientation. He also represents the Dean’s Office on the Admissions Committee, the Committee on Academic Affairs, and the Judicial Council.
