Associate Dean Hale came to Wake Forest's Office of the Dean of the College in 1970 after receiving his B.A. (Wake Forest), M.Div. (Duke), and Ed.D. (Indiana) degrees. He served as Assistant to the Dean, Assistant Dean, and Director of Career Planning and Placement before becoming Associate Dean in 1982. In addition to his work with faculty, students, staff, and other constituencies of the University, Dean Hale served as Dean of the Summer Session at Wake Forest from 1997 until 2009. He currently serves on several faculty committees including the Committee on Academic Affairs (Secretary), the Judicial Council, the Committee on Admissions,the Committee on Study Abroad, and the Committee on Teacher Education.
