Dr. French received his B.A. (Wake Forest) and M.A. (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) before joining Wake Forest's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. After two years he joined the Office of Multicultural Affairs. In 1999, he returned to UNC-CH to complete his doctoral degree in Communications Studies.  In 2004, Dr. French joined the faculty of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA where he served as Assistant Professor of Communications.  In 2009, he returned to Wake Forest where he serves as Director of the Magnolia Scholars Program and is a member of the Office of the Dean of Wake Forest College.
