April 24, 2007 11:00 AM - Wait Chapel The Rev. Dr. Molly Marshall President and Professor of Theology and Spiritual Formation Central Baptist Theological Seminary Shawnee, Kansas
Listen to the Service
Dr. Marshall is the president of Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, Kansas: the first woman president of a Baptist-affiliated seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. A theological educator for over twenty years, Dr. Marshall considers herself an “equipper of ministers.” Her varied ministerial experiences and notable scholarly efforts, including three monographs and various professorships and fellowships, allow her to speak and teach from a lived theological experience as a professor of theology and spiritual formation at CBTS. Recently, Dr. Marshall served as president of the National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion and as editor of the NABPR Dissertation Series. She is on the Editorial Board of the American Baptist Quarterly.
Dr. Marshall's sermon is the inaugural lecture in the Agnes F. and William L. Brown Lectures on Ministerial Diversity at the Divinity School. The Lectures are sponsored by the Rev. Richard L. Brown in honor of his parents.
