Conducting a Job Search
- Identify specific career/education options to pursue.
- Create a resumé and cover letters.
- Hone your interviewing skills.
- Apply for employment positions or graduate school programs.
- Evaluate offers and make decisions.
How we can help:
- Resume/Cover Letter Consultations. Have your resumé and/or cover letter reviewed by a career counselor.
- Mock Interviews. Prepare for your job, internship, or graduate school interview by practicing your interview skills with us.
- Job Postings and Campus Interviews. Register with the Office of Career Services in order to access ECHO where job announcements are posted. Apply for on-campus interviews with recruiters representing business, industry, private schools, and government.
- Graduate and Professional School Information. Research graduate programs in law, business, medicine, and arts and sciences in our Career Resource Center. Graduate/professional examination applications are available. We also sponsor Graduate and Professional School Day held the first week of November where admissions representatives from schools nationwide distribute materials and answer questions.
- Special Programs. Participate in job fairs, career development events, and networking forums.
- E-Leads . Access this comprehensive web-database of potential networking and employment opportunities of particular interest to liberal arts graduates. Available via campus computers or by password when accessing from off-campus. Contact Career Services for the password.
