Policies

Who Can Use The Facilities?
Current students, faculty and staff of the Wake Forest University Reynolda Campus have full access to all of the recreational facilities on the Reynolda Campus. They are entitled to use the facilities whenever the fields, gyms, pool etc. are not reserved for classes, intramural sports, club sports or special events. (see facilities for recreational facilities listing)

Family Passes for Reynolds Gymnasium
At no charge, spouses or dependents of students, faculty and staff of the Reynolda Campus may gain access to the Reynolds Gymnasium facilities. The sponsor can obtain the pass from room 214 Reynolds Gym Monday through Friday from 9am-7pm. (except during breaks and summer session) The pass gives access to: Rec Gymnasiums, pool, racquetball courts, and available exercise equipment.

The pass will be good for one year. (fall, spring, summer) With this pass, spouses or dependents are not eligible to play in intramural sports or participate in group fitness classes. Dependents may receive a pass until 23 yrs of age. Until 15 yrs of age, dependents must be accompanied by their adult sponsor. Note: possession of a family pass for the Reynolds Gymnasium does not give access to the fitness center.

Fitness Center Membership
Spouses and dependents (ages 16-23 years old only) of current Reynolda Campus student, faculty and staff members may purchase memberships to the Fitness Center. The fitness center is located in the Miller Center which is adjacent to the track. If interested in purchasing a membership, please have your spouse or dependent accompany you to the fitness center, where a Welcome Desk attendant can help you complete the necessary paperwork. Reynolds Gym Guest User Policy
All current students, faculty and staff or family pass holders are allowed to bring in a guest (1) to use the recreational facilities within the Reynolds Gym. All guests to the Reynolds Gymnasium must be accompanied the person holding the Reynolds Gymnasium User pass. (student ID or family pass)

The number of guests that may accompany a pass holder may be limited due to facility usage at that time.

Reynolds Gym Tag System
Anyone using the Reynolds Gymnasium gyms should bring proper identification. When the tag system is being used, (during posted recreation hrs, see listing) participants are asked to sign in with security at the front desk in order to receive a tag. The tag should be worn at all times while in the Reynolds Gymnasium.

Facility Rules
Athletic footwear must be worn by individuals participating in recreational activities
No food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the gymnasiums
No spitting in the gymnasiums
Smoking is prohibited
No profanity allowed
No alcohol or obvious effects of alcohol consumption will be permitted
Patrons must comply with the decisions of the supervisor at all times.

Equipment Checkout
Equipment check out is available for students, faculty and staff of the Wake Forest University Reynolda Campus. To checkout equipment, you must exchange your Wake Forest ID card for the piece of equipment desired. The Office of Campus Recreation will keep your card until the equipment is returned. If checking out a basketball, each ball is number and that number must be returned in order to recover your card.

The Intramural Sports office is open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm except for during breaks and summer session. After 5pm, the front security desk will be open for check out a limited amount of equipment. The security desk will monitor any cards still in the Campus Recreation office past 7pm.

Lockers/Showers
Lockers, showers and towels are available for faculty and staff in the Reynolds Gymnasium. There are two men’s locker rooms and two women’s locker rooms in the gym. One men’s and one women’s locker room is located on the second floor of the Reynolds Gymnasium. One men’s and one women’s locker room is located on the first floor as well. The first floor locker rooms (men’s and women’s) have entrances onto the pool deck.

The Fitness Center, located in the Miller Center next to the track, has lockers as well. The lockers and showers are located on the fourth floor. The lockers are for day use only.

Locker Reservation Process
Go to locker room of choice (Reynolds Gym)
Choose an open locker noting the locker number
Return to room 214 Reynolds Gym giving attendant locker number
Locker will be kept for the entire fall, spring and summer sessions. Note: locker renewals times will be posted in each locker room
