Bouldering Wall Rules and Regulations
Climbing is an assumed Risk. Climbers must agree to all rules and regulations of the climbing facility and sign the liability release form. Participation in all activities in Reynolds Gymnasium, on the Intramural Fields, or in any program sponsored by the Campus Recreation Department, regardless of location, is voluntary on behalf of all participants. All participants acknowledge and agree that Wake Forest University does not provide insurance for any of its activities and shall not be liable for any injuries that occur at any of these locations or in any of its programs.

Footwear
Only climbing shoes and sneakers are appropriate footwear. Shoes that are dirty or that leave tread prints on the wall can be banned from use. Bare foot climbing is not allowed. Open-toed sandals, heavy mountaineering boots, and other hard soled shoes are not allowed.
Chalk
Closed chalk balls are the only acceptable chalk allowed. Participants can bring their own chalk bags but these must be free of loose chalk. This is to keep the WFU Bouldering Wall clean and to keep loose dust from the air, which can adversely affect other users of the facility.
Minors
All children below the age of 18 need to have a parental/guardian sign the Risk Waiver Form. Children under age 16 must have a parent/guardian present in order to climb.
Patrons Who Do Not Meet Our Minimum Standards
Any climbers found to be climbing in a hazardous manner will be told why their activity was deemed dangerous. They will be educated as to the proper climbing procedures and then may be asked to stop climbing for the night. Habitual or otherwise serious offenses will result in the loss of climbing privileges. Climbing under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be tolerated.
