Max Floyd is the Director of the All Sports Camp. Coach Max has
been highly involved in all aspects of sports camp administration and instruction since 1984. He has instructed at camps in several states including Alaska and
Canada. After a short stint as a catcher with the Philadelphia Phillies, Coach Max received his
Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Texas, El Paso
followed by a Masters degree in Sport Management from The Ohio State
University. Coach Max is a nationally Certified Recreational Sports Specialist, an inspirational speaker, a multi-sport coach and an all-levels certified
educator.
In addition to his summer camp involvement, Coach Max is the Director of
Campus Recreation at Wake Forest University. He oversees the recreation
facilities, 33 club sport teams, intramural sports, aquatics, group fitness, outdoor
pursuits, and the campus fitness center. Though born and raised on Kodiak Island in Alaska and a commercial fisherman for 15 years, Coach Max now resides in Winston-Salem. Coach Max is happily married to Debbie and have four children: Emily -Junior at Wake Forest, Joe Max - Freshman at Wake, Abbey -16, Jared -

In addition to his never-ending enthusiasm to teach and program
activities for young people, Coach Max truly considers it a privilege to be
involved in the lives of the campers. His goals are for the children to have
fun, learn a new sport and to make new friendships. If your child has
