I decided to attend Wake Forest because it offered opportunities in both academics and athletics. However, coming here would have been impossible without scholarship support, and I am grateful for this miraculous experience. While studying for a career as a teacher, I volunteer at a local underpriveleged elementary school, sit on several student-athlete advisory committees — and train for a possible career in the WNBA! All these activities make a positive difference in my own life and prepare me to give back to my community as well. One day I hope to do even more and provide a scholarship in my name, so that I, too, can positively change the lives of inspiring students.
