ENDOWED FINANCIAL AID
Increased student support is vital to ensure that all deserving students, regardless of their financial background, have access to a Wake Forest education. The campaign provided new endowment to provide additional scholarships and financial aid to undergraduates, graduate students, and professional school students.

ENDOWED FACULTY AND PROGRAM SUPPORT
Wake Forest must offer more faculty support to attract, retain and reward those teacher-scholars who will strengthen the University's unique academic culture. The campaign provided endowment to increase faculty salaries, recognize exceptional young and senior-level faculty, offer more competitive recruitment packages to attract promising young faculty and provide additional professional development opportunities.

FACILITIES
Only a small percentage of the campaign goal was for facility needs, including the F. M. Kirby addition to the Calloway Center, the Divinity School addition to Wingate Hall, and the new Kenneth D. Miller Center, formerly the Student-Athlete Enhancement Center.

MEDICAL CENTER
The Medical Center's "Sustaining the Miracle" campaign, which began in 1996, was included in the overall goal for "The Campaign for Wake Forest: Honoring the Promise."
