Description: Nigel Savage, founder and director of Hazon, will speak about the rise of the Jewish Food Movement, describing how traditional understandings of kosher are expanding to include an emphasis on food justice, sustainable agriculture, and local food economies. Hazon, which means “vision,” is the largest faith-based environmental organization in the country, and has become a leader in creating a more just, sustainable food economy. This is an interfaith gathering and everyone is welcome to attend.
