|
| Date: |
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 |
| Time: |
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM |
| Location: |
Room 301, Reynolda Hall |
| Description: |
Shots fired on campus - the last thing you would expect to hear. The odds of being involved in a situation like this are similar to your chances of being struck by lightning. It is a strange thing about lightning though. We use it as a way to describe something that seemingly has no chance of happening. But,how many of us would stand next to a metal pole during a thunderstorm? Preparedness is the key to survival.
This class will provide you with critical guidance on how to recognize and survive an active shooter situation. Most people never expect to encounter such a situation but, as indicated by recent events on other college campuses, it has occurred and being prepared is key. This class stresses awareness, preparation, and rehearsal which are the keys to safety.
