Using the motivation framework from How Learning Works, we will look at the factors that might be suppressing student in-class participation and will explore some strategies to enable students to move past those barriers.
"All About Motivation" Series
The TLC spring 2013 workshop series is themed around the topic of motivation. Motivating students is a complex task and the overwhelming emphasis on grades can make it even harder to find ways to reach students and create a genuine excitement about learning.
