Sunset Boulevard (1950) embodied the enchantment of the silent film era and the high cost of manufacturing illusions. Dale Pollock, professor of cinema studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), discusses the Billy Wilder film, and a cast from Twin City Stage performs selected songs from Webber's musical, including "The Magic in the Making" and "We Taught the World New Ways to Dream." |
