| Description: |
As the semester winds down it is a great time to reflect on the successes and challenges of our teaching. We know that spring semester will be upon us before it seems really possible, so it is helpful to use our end-of-semester reflections to inform our course preparations for spring. In these Winding Down, Gearing Up! workshops we offer the opportunity to take the time to capture your thoughts on changes needed in future courses, to think about that new course you will be teaching or to re-think the one you'll be re-teaching!
We'll start this session by reflecting on courses you're currently teaching as a way to focus your thoughts for next semester. Using these reflections, we'll work on identifying goals for your spring semester courses and potential strategies for meeting these goals. Those wishing to go deeper with creating and evaluating assignments, will want to attend the next session, Creating Assignments and Assessing Learning.
Please bring course materials you'd like to focus on (e.g., syllabus, assignments, rubrics), either old, new or under construction.
