| Description: |
Israel: The Jewish State from the Eyes of a Bedouin Minority: Reflections on the UN vote on Palestine, Prospects for Peace and Stability in the Region.
Ishmael Khaldi, Israel's first Bedouin diplomat and first high-ranking Muslim in foreign service will be speaking in the Triad. While he served as a member of Israel's Foreign Ministry, Mr. Khaldi facilitated dialogue between the Arabs and Jews, Israelis and other communities. This is quite far from his humble beginnings as a shepherd boy in a small Galilee Bedouin village without electricity and running water. He will discuss the UN vote on Palestine and its relationship to stability as well as his view on Israel's Bedouin minority and its relationship to Israel. |
