Collegium Musicum Concert

Description: Stewart Carter and Brian Gorelick, directors

The program will feature madrigals and sacred works by leading English composers of the 17th century. The Collegium Musicum Vocal Ensemble will sing works by Henry Purcell, Orlando Gibbons, John Dowland and Thomas Weelkes. Two of Dowland's ayres will be sung with guitar accompaniment to represent the performance practice of the period.

The voices of the ensemble will combine with the Collegium Instrumentalists to present two madrigals with consort accompaniment to close the program.
