Families frequently inquire as to the availability of shuttle service to Charlotte Douglas airport and Raleigh-Durham airport. Both airports are located a minimum 1 1/2 hours drive away depending on traffic. If a direct flight to your city is not available from Greensboro PTI, sometimes the most cost-effective option is a flight connecting through Charlotte Douglas. During high volume travel periods, Benson Center will offer limited shuttle service to both airports (click here for more information.) Otherwise, students in need of ground transportation may contact Black Tie Transportation at 336-768-5177.
Shuttle Policies and Procedures:
Shuttles must be reserved 24 hours in advance
At posted holiday travel periods, different shuttle procedures will apply. Please refer to our holiday shuttle schedule for those dates.
All daylight shuttles pick up and drop off in front of the Benson University Center. Before dawn or after dark, service is to any location operated by the WFU Department of Residence Life and Housing.
Upon arrival, passengers must check in at the PTI Airport Transportation kiosk, found by following "ground transportation" signage from the baggage claim area.
Cancellation policy: All shuttles are non-refundable. Students may transfer their reservation to another time during the current academic year provided any changes/cancellations are made 24 hours in advance of shuttle time. Passengers may change or cancel their reservations by calling PTI Airport Transportation at 1-877-796-5466.
