Holiday Group Shuttle Policies and Procedures:

  • Shuttles must be reserved by the purchase deadline. Last-minute reservations may be possible, but will be subject to standard pricing.
  • Students returning to all airports will be grouped with other students returning in a similar time frame. Therefore, there may be a waiting period before returning to campus. Black Tie will make every effort to keep waiting times to a minimum.
  • Shuttle time should be no less than two hours prior to flight time for Greensboro departures and no less than three hours prior to flight time for Raleigh and Charlotte departures. Benson Ticket Office reserves the right to refuse service to any student not willing or able to comply with these requirements. After 1pm, students are strongly encouraged to leave a four hour window for travel to Charlotte and Raleigh. There are often significant delays along interstates due to road construction and/or accidents. Benson Center and Black Tie assume no responsibility for unforseen traffic circumstances or for flights missed due to inadequate travel time.
  • In order to assure timely and accurate shuttle service, students must bring a copy of flight information (airline, flight number & flight time) to the ticket office. This can be printed or displayed on a laptop or mobile device. Ticket office employees are not permitted to make reservations without this requirement. Students will be asked to review the information recorded on the reservation form for accuracy. Once the student has initialed the form to indicate that the travel date and flight time are correct, any disruptions to travel due to incorrect information or inadequate travel time are the student's responsibility.
  • All daylight shuttles pick up and drop off in front of the Benson University Center. Before dawn or after dark, service is to any location operated by the WFU Department of Residence Life and Housing.
  • Upon arrival at an airport, students will be met by a driver with a sign indicating WFU destination. Students should turn on cell phones as soon as possible after arrival to assist the driver should a problem arise. Black Tie drivers can be identified by a company name tag and will have complete passenger information including name, cell number and flight info. Students should always verify the identity of a driver before accepting a ride.
  • Cancellation policy: All shuttles are non-refundable. Students may transfer an existing reservation to another time during the current academic year provided any changes/cancellations are made 12 hours in advance of shuttle time. Passengers may change or cancel reservations by calling Black Tie Transportation at 336-768-5177.
