Objective
The objective of the Jim Grobe Youth Football Camp is to provide expert
instruction and the opportunity for boys of different ages and abilities
to develop the techniques of individual and team play necessary in
football.
Supervision
Coach Jim Grobe and his assistant football coaches will be working directly
with the campers and will provide constant supervision. Also serving as
coaches during the camp will be several outstanding high school and college
coaches. In addition, former Deacon players will serve as camp counselors
Facilities
Practice will be conducted on the numerous outdoor practice fields which
serve the “Deacons” during the gridiron season.
Meals
All meals will be served in the University dining hall. Every meal will be on
an “all you can eat” basis. The quality and variety of the food is
excellent.
Special Features
Workouts will be held twice daily. Chalk Talks, game and instructional films
by outstanding college and pro-teams, football discussions by our special guests
are set throughout the day. In addition, championship competition will be held
in touch football.
Groups
Instruction will be given in all phases of football. There will, however, be
no contact. The boys will work out in shorts and will be grouped with boys their
own age, size and ability. Campers will be accepted from age 7 to 8th graders.
Dates
and Times
The
camp will begin on Monday, July 9 at 8:30 am and will end at 3:30
pm on Friday, July 13.

Cost
Campers will be charged $250.00 which will include lunch and all privileges. A $75.00 deposit must accompany all applications. Balance of payment is due postmarked by 6/25/07. All payments after that date must be paid on line or in cash or money order the first day of camp. Payment by mail will not be accepted after that date. The number of campers will be limited for specialized instruction. Upon receipt of the deposit and application, further information and instruction will be forwarded. Due to the popularity of the Jim Grobe Youth Football Camp, applications must be received early to guarantee reservations. Applications may not be accepted after July 1, 2007.
Health
A Certified Trainer will be present at all times to supervise and attend to the needs of the campers. Should sickness occur parents will be fully informed. Every effort possible will be given to ensure the camper's health and protection. We ask the camper to try to be in the best shape he can to derive the most from his camp experience.
Our medical form will be sent to you upon receipt of camp registration. The form must be filled out in its entirety and must be signed by the physician and parents in appropriate places and returned before the camp date begins.
Each Camper must be covered by accident insurance.
Cancellations
If Cancellation is made before July 1, your $75 deposit will be refunded.
Once camp begins, prorated refunds will be given in the event a camper
must withdraw due to medical reasons. No refunds will be given to any
camper dismissed for disciplinary reasons.
