McHenry serves in a dual capacity, Curator of the WFU Art Collections and Assistant Director of the Fine Arts Gallery. She oversees the display and care of nine art collections in 29 buildings and assists the Gallery Director with the management of the gallery. A participant in the Smithsonian’s Management of Museum Collections Program, she organized Wake Forest’s first Art Collections office in 1998. Before coming to Wake Forest she served as Fashion Director for the North Carolina Division of Thalhimers Department Stores, now the Hecht Co., and was active in Piedmont Craftsmen, Inc. She graduated with a B.S. in Textiles and Clothing and minor in Applied Art from Iowa State University.
