A Winston-Salem native, Paul graduated Western Carolina University with a BA in Political Science ('82). His professional career has been spent working with cameras, computers and sailboats (not nessesarily in that order).

SV "Trinity", 65' sloop, Nautor Swan

Many years in the Printing industry gave him experience with many aspects of computer imaging. He worked for four years in a digital photographic studio with networkMCI/Digital Imaging and later as a computer operator/color specialist with PBM Graphics, a leader in digital offset printing.  Paul is also a Web developer/programer/graphic designer with many years of experience. He has created personal, corporate, non-profit and municipal sites. He launched Paul's Pixel Pictures, his own web photogallery, in 1994. It is temporarily off-line.
Paul learned to sail while living on NC's OuterBanks (Duck) and has sailed various boats ranging from a 14' Hobie Cat to the 165' square rigged ship, "Bounty". He did a two year stint as a professional yacht crewman that took him up and down the East coast of the US twice, plus the West coast of Florida and the Bahamas.
