Visit Wake Forest Welcome Centers when you arrive in Florida
Wake Forest Welcome Centers (which are sponsored by the Wake Forest Alumni Association) will be available in two locations during Orange Bowl weekend. Come to one of the Wake Forest Welcome Centers and see who else is in town (see Guess Who's Coming to Town? below), pick up Wake Forest information and Admissions materials, get an Orange Bowl souvenir from the Alumni Association, and visit with alumni and friends!

Guess who's coming to town? Register now.
The Orange Bowl weekend promises to be the largest gathering of Wake Foresters in history! To help record this history-in-the-making event, Wake Forest is developing a registry of alumni, parents and friends who will be in Florida for the Orange Bowl. Please let us know when you’re going, where you’re staying and how we can get in touch with you while you’re there. This information will be available to fellow Wake Foresters at the Welcome Centers in Miami and Hollywood, so please come by to see if your college roommate will be cheering on the Deacons at a nearby hotel! New Year's Eve Event - Gala Ball (December 31)
Are you looking for something to do on New Year's Eve? Consider attending an event organized by Wake Forest alumni. As we learn of other events, we’ll post them here: wfu.edu/orangebowl/info.

Stephen Riddick ’04 has organized a New Year's Eve bash open to all Wake Forest fans in town for the Orange Bowl. Your $150 ticket includes a full open bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and live music from an '80s band! The party is from 8:00 p.m. - 1:00a.m in the Embassy Suites Main Ballroom (Ft. Lauderdale). Black tie (and plenty of gold) optional. The deadline to register is Wednesday, December 20, and tickets will not be sold at the door. New Year's Eve Event - Alumni Party (December 31)
Henry Long '79, owner of Cafe Iguana Pines in Hollywood, FL, is inviting all Wake Foresters to ring in the New Year at his entertainment megaplex. This 25,000 sq.ft. facility has 8 separate bars, 2 giant screen TVs, 88 televisions, an exclusive VIP Martini Bar, a chic Latin bistro named Babalu Bar, and a state-of-the-art Media Room that is a sports-enthusiast's dream. The New Year's Eve party begins at 8 p.m. and your $20 ticket includes an open Imperia vodka bar from 8-11 p.m., party favors, $5,000 in cash and prizes in the balloon drop at midnight, and a complimentary champagne toast. Tee Off with Wake Forest (January 1)
Enjoy a little green at the Orange Bowl with a Wake Forest vs. Louisville Golf Outing at Bonaventure Country Club in Ft. Lauderdale on January 1st. Fans from both sides will be teamed up for some friendly competition off the field. WaMu Orange Bowl Fan Fest presented by the City of Miami (January 1)
The Orange Bowl Fan Fest is the place to be to visit with other Wake Foresters! Fan Fest will be held from 1:00-8:00 p.m. on New Year's Day at Margaret Pace Park, which sits right on Biscayne Bay in the center of revitalized Downtown Miami. Fan Fest will include music from local talent (and popular music performers like Lil Wayne and Hinder), school pep rallies, special tastes from local vendors, interactive games, TVs to watch the day's football games and celebrity guests. Deacon Greet Evening Functions (January 1)
Go where the Deacons go! The official Wake Forest gathering locations for Monday night in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are listed below. Reservations are not required and food and drinks will be the responsibility of each individual. Pick one location or visit them all for a great evening with Wake Foresters!

Orange Bowl Blow Out (January 1)
Wake Forest alumni, students, fans, friends, and family are invited to join the Orange Bowl Blow Out, hosted by the Pi Kappa Alpha alumni. This event will be held January 1st from 7:00 p.m. at Tarpon Bend in downtown Fort Lauderdale...voted Best Happy Hour in City Link Best of Issue.Special guests The Fez, the legendary Wake Forest Party Band, will take the stage at 9:30. Tarpon Bend is extending their Happy Hour until 9:00 (starting at 5:00)....Two-for-One Cocktails, Beer, and Wine for our party members. We've reserved the upstairs party room with private bar. Tarpon Bend anchors Fort Lauderdale's downtown Himmarshee district, home to more than 30 bars and restaurants including Rush Street, Capone's, China White, Coyote Ugly, Automatic Slim's, Art Bar, Himmarshee Grill and Side Bar, Dicey O'Reilly's, E Bar, Tavern 213, and the Po House blues club. Budweiser Orange Bowl Tailgate Party (January 2)
Dolphin Stadium-Miami Gardens is the place for Wake Foresters to tailgate! All fans are welcome and encouraged to attend this event. For those who have purchased a WF Athletics Package, food and drinks will be provided in a designated area within the Budweiser Tailgate; if you have not purchased a package, food and drinks will be available from vendors within the Tailgate. The Tailgate Party annually features some of today's top musical talent, interactive games, sports memorabilia, memory lane, contests, food and much more. Join the cheerleaders and band and other Wake Forest notables and cheer for the Deacons. 73rd FedEx Orange Bowl (January 2, 8:00 p.m.)
This is what we've all been waiting for - when the Demon Deacons take on the Louisville Cardinals in the Orange Bowl. Gametime is 8:00 p.m. at Dolphin Stadium-Miami Gardens. Go Deacs! For those who will be there in spirit, the game is televised nationally by FOX at 8 p.m. ET. | Top
