New spam-filtering tools to be tested for alumni.wfu.edu email accounts
Everyone hates spam - those unwanted emails advertising products or services that clog up your email inbox. Wake Foresters who have an Email Forwarding for Life (EFFL) account (those with @alumni.wfu.edu email addresses) are going to receive new spam filtering technology to protect your inbox from spam. Wake Forest has heard your requests to help block spam, and we are going to be piloting a new spam filter. We need volunteers to test the new technology and provide feedback on it. If you would like to participate in this pilot program, please contact Wes Waters ’01 at waterswb@wfu.edu

Spaces still available for Lifelong Learning course on Southern history June 28-29
Spaces are still available for "Re-Thinking Dixie: The Modern South in Historical Perspective," part of the Alumni Association's Lifelong Learning program. The course will be taught June 28-29 on campus by Michele Gillespie, Kahle Associate Professor of History. Dr. Gillespie wrote of the course: "While the South may still boast a unique identity, it is under siege in the 21st century. The region has confronted multiple challenges to its culture since the Civil War. Southerners and non-southerners alike have contributed to the remaking of the South again and again since the last half of the nineteenth century. This course looks at critical developments and changes in the politics, economy and society of the South since the Civil War, and how these transformations have reshaped our notions of what it means to be southern." Alumni, parents, and friends of Wake Forest are welcome to attend this course. Space is limited, so register now! Reynolda House | Top
