John E. R. Friedenberg (B.A., Theatre, Wake Forest University, MFA, Theatre Management, Carnegie Mellon University) is Director of Theatre. John teaches Intro to Theatre (both 112 & 110), First Year Seminars and Theatre Management. John has taught at Brenau College and worked at Pittsburgh Public Theater and The University of Pittsburgh: Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival where he was Managing Director before coming to Wake Forest in 1988.
